Overview

The Provincial Municipality of Arequipa - Peru, commemorating on August 15 the CDLXXXV Anniversary of the Spanish Foundation of the City, organizes the XLIII International Festival of Folklore Dances- FESTIDANZA 2025, with the desire to unite the countries through their artistic identity and cultural; which will be carried out according to the following provisions, which must be complied with by the invited groups:

Accommodation

THE XLIII FESTIDANZA 2025

  1. It begins on August 15, with the allegorical parade whose approximate route is 3 km; each group shows its most representative dance.
  2. The festival takes place from August 16 to 19 at the Arequipa Coliseum, on a stage of 12 m x 12 m and 10 cm. high, for dance and another of 7.50 m x 5.00 m. and 0.90 m. high for musicians.

    ORGANIZING COMMITTEE

  1. The Organizing committee will be responsible for the delegation as soon as it arrives at the venue of the event with:
    • Breakfast : August 15, 16. 17, 18,19 and 20
    • Lunch : August 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20
    • Dinner : August 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19
    • Housing : August 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19
  1. The Organizing committee will provide medical care, if necessary, not being responsible for accidents caused by carelessness (excess of drinks, meals or diseases contracted in their place of origin).
  2. It will deliver personal and non-transferable credentials, the only document that will allow access to the attention offered by the organizing committee.

    III.THE PARTICIPANT DELEGATIONS

  1. The participating delegations must arrive in this City on the 14th and leave on August 20th.
  2. The participating delegations have to send in the shortest possible time, the Commitment of Participation and the informative dossier and 02 high-resolution photographs of the group (in telegram) for promotional purposes and until June 30, the list of members, review of the dances and itinerary of the trip.
  3. They must send until July 15, a greeting video and presentation of the group with a maximum duration of 4 minutes,the video must show fragments of their dances and the main tourist attraction of their country or place of origin.
  4. They must bring four (4) different dances that identify their folklore, traditions and/or customs of their place of origin with a maximum of 12 minutes each.
  5. All groups must have their live musical frame (send technical sound requirement in a timely manner). In exceptional cases, some delegation will be received with recorded music.
  6. The delegations will fulfill four stellar functions (nights), two functions for schoolchildren (mornings) and will offer presentations of social projection, whose relationship will be made known to them upon arrival.
  7. The delegation may not exceed 25 people including artistic director and musical framework.
  8. If the delegation does not have live music, it can only accredit 18 people.
  9. In the event that the groups exceed the number of people mentioned, they will be the responsibility of each group. The organizing committee is not responsible for the basic services offered.
  10. Each group will assume the costs of tickets to the festival headquarters (round trip).
  11. The members of each delegation must have international health insurance, which are attended by the clinic or health center accredited by their insurer, (in this city, only the Arequipa clinic receives this accreditation).
  12. The participating groups must be made up of young people and/or adults and have an extensive artistic career.
  13. Each delegation must bring the flag of its country, with which it will enter the official scheduled events.
  14. They will present their greeting to Eng. Víctor Hugo Rivera Chávez, Mayor of the City, and the Organizing Commission wearing their typical costumes of the place of origin.
  15. Each delegation must bring two (2) gifts (mayor of the city and president of the organizing committee), which will be delivered in the Protocol Greeting; it is recommended to bring souvenirs to exchange with the attending delegations.

    DECENTRALIZED FUNCTIONS

  1. The Organizing Committee will program decentralized artistic presentations, which will be announced upon arrival.
  2. Any circumstance not provided for in these rules, will be resolved in a timely manner, by the organizing committee.
