Hanioti is a small and very picturesque village in Halkidiki, situated on the peninsula's first prong, only a 60-minute drive from Greece's northern capital, Thessaloniki. Upon arrival, every visitor will be captivated by this small picturesque paradise that has been designed to cater to the needs of even the most discerning traveler and guarantee a relaxing and memorable stay. Close to Greece's northern capital, Thessaloniki, in the county of Halkidiki, the small village of Hanioti is a coastal settlement that offers the amenities of a cosmopolitan center, blessed by nature and characterized by crystal clear waters, greenery, traditional hospitality, friendly inhabitants, and unforgettable nights.

General Rules

The International folk and modern dance festival “Hanioti” is a non - competitive festival. At the festival can participate in children and youth folklore dance groups, vocal groups, instrumental groups, and soloists, as well as groups and performers from other art styles. Participants should be from the age of 5 to 105.

The Festival will be organized in the main square of Hanioti and surrounded villages of the Municipality of Kassandria. The shows are organized in the evening hours with a short defile at the start and can be either with live music or CD. According to the number of participants, the minutes of performances will be defined. At the end of the Festival, after the show, the Groups have a gift exchange and receiving certificates.

During the daytime, it is possible to organize rehearsals in the amphitheater.

As all the performances are in the evening hours, the festival team can organize several excursions:

1. Cruising boat for all interested participants – party on the ship. The ship sails through the bay to the second peninsula making brakes on Toroni beach and Turtle island for swimming and sightseeing.

2. Magic Park: Last day on the way back (or anyone before) it is possible to organize a visit to an exciting amusement park.


Accommodation is organized in apartments 5 minutes from the beach and city center. The Groups will be accommodated in rooms with 3 beds and 4 beds on a half board basis. Only 2 double rooms are available per group which can be used for the Leaders and drivers.

On the main square around the amphitheater, there are traditional Greek restaurants in which we organize breakfast and lunch.

Participation fee is:

135€ per person for accommodation in apartments

150 € per person for accommodation in a hotel

It covers accommodation for 5 days HB (breakfast, lunch) and expenses of the festival organization. On 25 participants, every 26th is free of charge.

Participation expenses do not cover dinner (gyros 2,5 € at “Garry gyros” or dinner for 8 €).

If the group shows interest in extending the stay the organizers should be informed during the application process (the price for an extra night on half board basis is 25 euro per person).

How to get there

The participant group should cover travel expenses for the trip between their country and Hanioti.

In the case the group arrives by plane, we can organize the transport Thessaloniki airport – Hanioti - Thessaloniki airport (price is 750 €)

In the last 17 years at the Festival in Hanioti participated, 30.000 children.

The organizer reserves the right for any changes in the program, and the participants will be informed on time. By applying you confirm that you accept all festival conditions

1. BOAT TRIP – Toroneus Cruise

What better way to spend the day than sailing over the Aegean, stopping at beaches and islands along the way? An absolute must for everyone! A very special day for ‘’fun under the sun’’. A relaxed day cruise between the peninsulas of Kassandra and Sithonia. First up, you’ll board a galleon-style ship, lazing on deck as it cuts through the waters and passes by green islands. Then, you’ll drop anchor at Toroni Bay, spend a couple of hours here soaking up the sun and swimming in the sea before rejoining your ship. Next, your boat will cruise on to Turtle Island, a pine-wooded island that’s shaped like a sleeping turtle. Here, you’ll get another chance to swim or snorkel or lounge on deck before the crew call time up and you sail back to port.

Located outside the city center, on the way to the airport, opposite Mediterranean Cosmos Mall, it has a variety of rides and activities for everyone. A beautiful and safe entertainment park next to the Mediterranean Cosmos m shopping mall with countless action and skill games for all age groups: kids, adolescents, adults.
