Overview

The coastal city of Durrësi, located a convenient 34 km from Tirana, is home to Albania’s largest port—and is one of the country’s most ancient cities. “The eternal city” over the Adriatic has a 3,000-year history Because of its long history, the city is naturally brimming with ancient archaeological sites and findings, including the famous amphitheater of the Roman Emperor Hadrian, whose 15,000-seats capacity makes it the second biggest amphitheater in the Balkans. Durrës is a fantastic destination for history and art buffs: beyond the Archeological Museum, visitors can explore the Ethnographic Museum, which was once home to famous actor Alexander Moissi, and the centrally-located Art Gallery. Durrës is also perfect for those looking to take a break by the sea, as its sandy beaches and numerous restaurants with a stunning view of the Adriatic, make for a perfect and relaxing day trip.

Accommodation

The festival fee for 6 days /5 nights is 160 euro per person. The accommodation in 4* Hotels – HB Basis (buffet base).

On every 25 people, 1 person is free of charge.

The Groups will be accommodated in rooms with 3 beds and 4 beds on a full board basis. Only 3 double rooms are available per group which can be used for the Leaders and drivers.

Extra charges: 

  • Double room: 4 euro per person / per day
  • Single room: 19 euro per person / per day
  • Extra night: 32 euro/person

Participation fees can be paid via bank transfer or in cash on the day of arrival. Each participant group should pay 30 % in advance after receiving the official invitation. After this date (01.06.2022) advance payments are not refunded.

Itinerary

The International Festival of dance and songs “Durazzo Fest” is a non-competitive sample of traditional and modern dances and music performed by folkloric groups. At the festival may participate children and youth folklore dance groups, modern dance groups, vocal groups, instrumental groups, and choirs, as well as groups and performers from other art styles with a minimum of 10 persons on the stage. The age of participants is not limited.

Detailed Festival Program will be given to you 1 month before the start of the festival.

The organizer reserves the right to any changes in the program, and the participants will be informed on time. By applying you confirm that you accept all festival conditions!

The groups should pay the travel expenses by themselves to Durres and back.

The groups coming by bus can use their own transport all the time during the festival and the small journeys around the city. Any expense caused by the usage of the bus (accident, robbing, breakdown, etc) should be covered by the vehicle’s insurance. Each member must have a travel insurance policy.

FREE Parking.

The festival organizers will organize the transport for the groups coming by plane by picking them up from Tirana and Ohrid (N. Macedonia) airport, during the festival days and back to the same airport. The cost of the transportation will be covered by the group and will be additionally agreed upon according to their number.
