Çanakkale is a city and seaport in Turkey, in Çanakkale Province, on the southern coast of the Dardanelles at their narrowest point. The population of the town is 186,116 (2014 estimate).
Çanakkale is the finishing point every year for an organized swim across the Dardanelles from Eceabat. This event emulates the swim in 1810 by Lord Byron, who was himself emulating the legendary swim by Leander in the story of Hero and Leander.
The city is the nearest major town to the site of ancient Troy. The wooden horse from the 2004 movie Troy is exhibited on the seafront.
The groups are requested to arrive in ÇANAKKALE on 16. July 2021 - 10:00 and depart on 20 July .2021 - 12:00, after breakfast.
Gifts provide for each person is an attendance certificate.
Each group should bring flags of their countries and 3 gifts with them.
We will prefer dance groups with live music but recorded music also acceptable.
Pocket money will not be paid to the groups by Festival Committee.
The groups will prepare 5-10 minutes programs. All groups have to prepare a minimum of 2 different performances.
The Groups will stay at University Students Hostel (www.ardesogrenciyurdu.com or similar Hostels)
The festival fee is 120 euro per person (4 Night-5 Days ).

How to get there
You can arrive on the spot by plane or private bus transportation.
If needed the organizer can provide bus transportation and other transportation services.
