The Festival Internacional de Folklore Orizaba borns in 2014 and have place in Orizaba City, whose recognition as “Pueblo Mágico” has become one of the most important tourist center of the state, it is located 266km from the Mexico City, the capital of the country, in the High Mountains region, the city is also an important urban center of economic, historical, and cultural in the state after the Port of Veracruz and the capital Xalapa.

Our purpose is to promote and share the folklore of various nations in our city and surroundings, strengthening the cultural heritage, as well as the interest of the citizens of Orizabeña towards one of the fine arts such as folk dance.

1) The 9° edition of the “Festival Internacional de Folklore Orizaba” Will take place in Orizaba, México, from 26 to 31, 2022.

2) The participant groups must be no more than fifteen (15) members, which the minimum acceptable age of the members is 16 years old. Festival Internacional de Folklore Orizaba won’t be responsible for lodging of other extra elements.

3) All the groups must send
-Five (5) photos high quality
-Videos
-History
-Short history (no more than one page)
-Technical rider

4) Concerning the traveling
a) The participant ensemble is responsible for making the arrangements to obtain air tickets and to confirm the flights. The groups must be in Mexico the July 26st and leave the festival on July 31st.
b) The participant group is responsible for paying their own travel expenses to the festival destinaion.
c) The group if it is necessary, is also responsible for obtaining sufficiently early visas for México and transits visas for others countries. The cost of those visas should be covered by the group.
d) The participant group should arrive at the Benito Juarez International Airport in Mexico City.

5) We accept groups with live music or recorder material (CD).

6) The participant ensemble should bring a flag of this country.

7) The artistic style should base upon the folklore of the region or country the group originates from.

8)Each group shall accomplish the following provisory program:
-Gala Show (30-40minuts)
-International parade in the town center of Orizaba
-Performance in public spaces (10-20min max)
-Dance Workshop (30-40min)
-Performance during the closing ceremony (20min)

9) Each group must bring gifts for the other groups and local authorities. (4 gifts)

10) Each participant or group that must pay the health expense in case of any unforeseen events, the festival will only be responsible for first aid.

11) The security within the festival and the hotels in the activity schedules will be granted by the organization, outside the activity and hotel schedules, the FOLKLORE ORIZABA 2022 INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL is not responsible for the security of group members.
