Overview

Cultural groups from around the world are warmly invited to take part in the Krakow Autumn Folk & Arts Festival. Held in October, the festival offers favorable weather conditions for both performances and city exploration. Krakow’s historic Old Town, royal landmarks, and cultural districts provide an inspiring background for festival events. The program is designed to encourage artistic exchange while allowing participants to experience the city. This festival is well suited for groups seeking a balanced combination of culture and travel.

Itinerary

Participants

  • Open to folklore ensembles, orchestras, majorettes, modern dance groups, choirs, and music bands from all over the world
  • No age limits and no restrictions on group size
  • Choirs and musical ensembles should be prepared to perform on open-air stages
  • Early registration is recommended, as participation is limited

 

Festival Program

16 October – Arrival and Welcome Evening

  • Afternoon arrival in Krakow and hotel check-in
  • Meeting with the festival organizers and group leaders
  • Dinner
  • Free evening to explore Krakow’s charming riverbank promenade along the Vistula River, offering picturesque night views of Wawel Castle and the Old Town skyline

17 October – Discovering Krakow & Performances

  • Breakfast
  • City sightseeing: Explore Krakow’s most iconic landmarks —
    • Wawel Castle and Cathedral, a symbol of Polish royalty and heritage
    • Main Market Square (Rynek Główny), the largest medieval square in Europ
    • Cloth Hall (Sukiennice) and St. Mary’s Basilica, with its legendary trumpet call
    • Kazimierz District, Krakow’s historical Jewish Quarter filled with galleries, cafés, and street art
  • Dinner
  • Evening performance at the Maly Rynek — share your artistry in the cultural heart of Krakow, surrounded by centuries of history

18 October – Vistula River Experience & Gala Concert

  • Breakfast
  • Optional excursion: Boat trip on the Vistula River
    • Discover Krakow from a new perspective as you glide past its stunning landmarks, from Wawel Hill to the modern riverbank districts
