Calella is a seaside town on the Costa del Maresme, 58 km northeast of Barcelona, in Catalonia, Spain. It is
located on the coast between Sant Pol de Mar and Pineda de Mar. It is a town with more than 650 years of
history, and about three kilometers of beaches with clean sand and intense blue waters. With its location
makes it a first-class coastal destination awarded with the European quality Blue Flag - Calella beach.

Barcelona, the cosmopolitan capital of Spain’s Catalonia region, is known for its art and architecture. Barcelona is one of the world's leading tourist, economic, trade fair, and cultural centers, and its influence in commerce, education, entertainment, media, fashion, science, and the arts all contribute to its status as one of the world's major global cities.

SPECIAL OFFER: On the way to and from the Festival, you have the opportunity to visit cities like Rome, Venice, Budapest, Vienna, Graz, Prague, Paris with Disneyland, Nice, Amsterdam and more. The Festival organizers can organize accommodation for the groups, guided city tours and tickets for sights for great deals. The cost of it upon request

HOW TO GET THERE?

The groups coming by bus can use their own transport all the time during the festival and the small journeys around the city. Any expense caused by the usage of the bus (accident, robbing, breakdown, etc.) should be covered by the vehicle’s insurance. Each member must have a travel insurance policy.

The Parking for the buses is paid by the group at the rate set on the parking place. (approximately 25€ per day).

The festival organizers will organize the transport for the groups coming by plane by picking them up from
Barcelona or Girona airports, and back to the same airport. The cost of the bus transportation on request.

Itinerary

The International Festival “Calella” is a non-
competitive festival of traditional and modern dances and songs performed by groups. On the festival may participate children and youth folklore dance groups, modern dance groups, choirs, as well as groups and performers from other art styles with minimum 10
persons on the stage. The age of participants is not
limited.

During the festival each group will have at least 2-3
performances in Calella. Groups should bring flag
and a sign with the name of the group for the
parade. Groups can perform either with live music
or USB. All program activities and performances will
be held at evening hours so every day is free for
participants to use the sandy beach or visit some of
the tourist attractions.

FESTIVAL PROGRAM 1 ST SHIFT 23.-28. June 2025

I DAY 23 rd June, (St. Huan Celebration Day):
12:00-13:00 Arrival in the Hotel and check in (please call us 1h before your arrival, 100km ahead of Calella), the rooms will be ready for check in at 15:00

13:00-15:00 Lunch time (according to the hotel schedule, each group will receive from the hotel
reception time table.

* If the group is not arriving for lunch, or it is late, please let us know in advance, otherwise we will not be able to reschedule lunch to dinner)

6. Montserrat

Place where spirituality, nature, and history come together. The mountain and Benedictine Monastery of Montserrat, founded in the 11th century, are located in a natural park 60 km west of Barcelona.

It is well known as the site of the Benedictine abbey, Santa Maria de Montserrat, which hosts the Virgin of Montserrat sanctuary. The mountain is composed of a strikingly pink conglomerate, a form of sedimentary rock. Montserrat is Spain's first National Park.
