Overview

Umag's rise as a popular tourist destination in Croatia should come as no surprise. The scenic Istrian city along the Adriatic Coast holds unmatched beauty and distinction.

Due to its location in northwest Croatia, Umag is considered the gateway to Istria from northern Europe.

With a coastline filled with stunning beaches, Umag has solidified itself as an established summer destination in Europe. But the sea is only one of the reasons Umag stands out as an exceptional vacation site. Umag is a city full of endless entertainment possibilities. Exciting events such as the ATP Croatia Open held each summer at the stadium at Istraturist's Stella Maris resort.

Buje was known as the "sentinel of Istria" for its hilltop site located 10 km (6.21 mi) inland from the Adriatic Sea. It still commands an excellent panorama. Buje has a rich history; traces of life in the region date back to prehistoric times. The town developed from a Roman and Venetian settlement into a medieval town. Buje has been part of the Venetian republic from 1358 until 1797 and has been an Italian city from 1918 to 1945. Today it is a modern regional center. Despite its development, Buje has retained many features typical of various historical periods. With its narrow streets and a central square, the old town is a fine example of medieval architecture with strong Venetian influences like the rest of the region.

General Rules

Our idea is to make four Festivals in four big Croatian
regions. The Festival is organized in cooperation with the Tourist board of the City of Novigrad/Cittanova and City of Buje/Buie in 2021 for the fifth year in a roll. So far the participants at our Festival were ensembles from Slovakia, Czech Republic, Turkey, Russia, Ukraine, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Taiwan, USA, etc.

FESTIVAL PROGRAM:

1st day - 28th July
The arrival of the ensembles at Plavalaguna Kanegra Bungalow** till 14 o'clock, check-in, free
afternoon, dinner, meeting of the group representatives and Festival organizers after dinner,
overnight stay.

2nd day - 29th July
Breakfast, free morning and afternoon for facultative field trips or staying at the beach, dinner, going out (facultative), overnight stay.

3rd day - 30th July
Breakfast, free morning and afternoon for facultative field trips or staying at the beach, dinner, preparing for the performance, ensembles' performance, going out (facultative), overnight
stay.

4th day - 31st July
Breakfast, free day for facultative field trips or staying at the beach, dinner, preparing for the performance, ensembles' performance, going out (facultative), overnight stay.

5th day - 1st August
Breakfast, morning swimming, check out from the hotel, ensembles' departure. With the hope of seeing each other next year!

Note: The organizer holds the right to change the program!

During the festival 2 performances are planned on the open stages in Novigrad/Cittanova - Kanegra resort and Buje/Buie - Polynesia resort. Each ensemble (singing, folklore, music, dance) who accepts the
Festival arrangement is obliged to prepare two choreographs lasting 7 -10 minutes. Participants must be older than 12, an exception can be made in the case of participants younger than 12 if they participate in the program with adults, in which case they have an adult escort. An ensemble can perform accompanied by a musical bend or high-quality CD recording. Each ensemble should have at least one person who speaks
English fluently, and who will be the contact person with the Organizer and group guide.

Accommodation

Festival Participation Fee is 135 per person for 4 nights, 5 days. Per every 25 participants 1 free arrangement.

FESTIVAL PARTICIPATION FEE PRICE INCLUDES:

- Organizing expenses (diplomas, gifts, program management, professional assistance).
- Accommodation at the Plavalaguna Kanegra Bungalow**, (Bungalow for 4-6 person, half board 4 nights-5 days, breakfast and dinner buffet service, drink included.
- Invitation letter from the organizer.
- Accommodation tax and VAT.

FESTIVAL PARTICIPATION FEE PRICE DOES NOT INCLUDE:

- Bus transport of the participants
Visa and participants' insurance (each group HAS TO make a valid traveling health insurance for all
participants and accompanying staff for Croatia).

- The possibility of prolonged accommodation on half board base with previous notice in Plavalaguna Kanegra Bungalow** – 35 € per person
